Bangor Reaction TNS Off and Free Buses!

The opening season of the season did not go our away, following a difficult first assignment away at Bangor, and a 2-1 reverse. It was a game of two of two halves without doubt - we were decent in the first and not so in the second. It proved to be an eventful day for centre half Liam Hancock - conceding two dubious penalties and scoring our goal, in front of a healthy crowd at Ferrar Road.

An evenly contested first half was puctuated by four minutes of goal action as Morley scored a penalty which was given for a ball striking liam Hancock's hand whilst at his side - a type of penalty that sometimes you see given and sometimes not, but he made amends four minutes later by stabbing home an equaliser. The second half was a different affair with the home side controlling things and us not being able to get on the ball for long enough periods. That said we defended superbly and dealt with everything Bangor could throw at us until the 85th minute and another dubious looking penalty as Hancock went to clear an awkward ball and tangled with Chris Jones, looking like the decision could have just as easily been a free kick to us, but Morley again stepped up, but this time keeper Craig Morris made a tremendous save, only for Jebb to drive home from the resultant melee of bodies. The last minute proved eventful as we had three chances from the same play to equalise through Lee Trundle, Kris O'Leary and Luke Cummings but it was not to be and we had to settle for an opening day defeat.

With the TNS game being cancelled at the weekend our next game is now at Haverfordwest on Friday 27th August and we need to bounce back from this disappointment. As part of this the club is putting on FREE BUSES to New Bridge Meadow for the 7.30 KO. The details are as follows:

- Tickets are available from the new Club Shop in the centre of Neath from 9AM on Tuesday 17th August.

-Tickets for the free bus are limitless but will be issued strictly to two per visitor.

Let's get together and make some noise at the Meadow - as we did last year - a result that sent us to the top of the table!
