Trundle up and Running!

Lee Trundle is up and running at Neath FC after scoring his first three Neath goals during the pre-season tour of Cornwall over the weekend.

His first goal came on Friday night against Bodmin in a 3-1 win. It was a typical Trundle moment as he recieved the ball with his back to goal in the box, controlled it on a thigh, spun and volleyed home! Also on the scoresheet were fellow newcomers Craig Hughes and Paul Fowler, so it was a good result allround.

On the Saturday we travelled to play St Blazey and started with a young team on a great surface. In the second half the introduction of Lee Trundle had an instant and effect and within 10 minutes of his arrival he scored two goals - the first a penalty and the second another fine goal after a jinking ron into the box. Chad Bond added another late on to make the scoreline 3-0 at the end. It was another good workout for the squad ahead of a game with Trefelin on Wednesday and Hereford Utd on Saturday at the Gnoll which is a 11.45 KO.

Neath FC would like to send out a big thank you to, not only the people associated with both clubs for their warm welcomes, but also to the Cornish people that we met along the way for their welcome and  interest in our club.
